Daytona Beach is on the East Coast of Central Florida. It is five miles from Ormond Beach. The first of Florida’s cities to become world famous, Daytona Beach has a reputation for leading vacationers into the fast lane. This applies to whether they are there to enjoy the hard pounding pace of the Daytona International Speedway or the hard-packed quartz sand beaches. Daytona is a place where people party hard. Spring Break in Daytona Beach is a classic example of a tradition that lives on as young people arrive and party hearty day and night. The students probably include some of the locals who attend Daytona Beach Community College for their four-year degree programs.

The Daytona Beach News Journal serves the community well. It provides information on upcoming events, including the infamous Spring Break and the Daytona 500 as well as the lesser-known Bike weeks. Daytona Beach Bike Week takes place twice a year. For a week in March and a week in October, the motorcycles descend into Daytona Beach. The Daytona Beach newspaper, the Daytona Beach News Journal, lists highlights and thoroughly covers this event.

During Speedweek in February, Spring Break in March and Bike Week in March, it is hard to obtain any type of accommodation in Daytona Beach Florida. Daytona Beach hotels are booked solid. You have to make arrangements for any type of room well in advance of these dates and events. Fortunately, Daytona does have more than its fair share of hotels, motels and condominiums. A solid wall of hotels lines the beaches. Prices range from budget to luxury. The City of Daytona Beach has a Travelodge Ocean Jewels Resort, a Super 8 Speedway and a Best Western Mayan Inn as well as an Inn on the Beach, Daytona Beach Club, a Grand Seas Resort, Daytona Beach Regency Resort and the Shores Resort and Spa. There are also a few hotels near the airport. The Daytona Beach Airport Hotel is close to the Daytona International Airport that acts as a gateway to other Central Florida locations.

Daytona Beach real estate agents can supply you with information on how to secure a rental. A Daytona Beach condo rental can be expensive. Selections include the Sand Dollar Condominiums and the Peck Plaza in Daytona Beach Florida right on the beach. The Peck Plaza is round and gazes out at both the Atlantic Ocean and the Halifax River. It is usually not easy or inexpensive to obtain any Daytona Beach vacation rentals of any sort if you do not arrange for it far in advance of your chosen dates. You will be disappointed if you wait until the last moment.
